Why HDV Legal?

Forensic videography has a vital role in the recording of legal and courtroom proceedings.  An accurate and complete account of those proceedings is necessary in order for a jury or judge to make a well-informed decision.  Forensic videography is defined as a highly effective video tool to document evidence.  It reduces outgoing costs, especially the cost of trial, for all parties.  In the United States, forensic video is commonly used for the following:

      • Depositions: Videotaped depositions for use and presentation in mediation and trial.
      • Settlement Documentaries: Concise, compelling presentation of liability and damages shown at mediation.  It includes interviews with your client, family members, friends, former co-workers, deposition excerpts, experts, etc.  The presentation is typically about 15 minutes long and provides the other side with a unique opportunity to evaluate your case.
      • Day-In-The-Life Documentaries/Activities of Daily Living: Documentary to illustrate how an injury or incident affects the daily life of an injured client. (20-to-30-minute presentation)

Research has shown that people will retain information up to six times better, if you use images in addition to words to state your case.  Clear and compelling evidence can help you maximize the recovery of damages for your client.
